Meet Ms. Claire
My name is Claire Depart, Ms. Claire, and I am very excited to be your teacher this year. Having been a third grade student at SAS its opening year I feel extremely honored to be on the other side of things this time at SASC.
I was born in Key West and moved to Tallahassee the summer before third grade. After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and minors in French and Environmental Science I moved to Denver Colorado where I taught for two years (K-1 and K).
A fun fact about is that while I was attending FSU I performed with the FSU Flying High Circus! Here are a few pictures of me performing Skating and High Wire.

I have two sisters, one big and one little, a three year old niece and six month old nephew whom I adore. I also have a dog named Pepper! Here are some pictures of my family.
Some of my hobbies are baking, reading, and traveling. Pepper is my adventure partner! We love to go hiking, kayaking, and running together. So far I have been to 14 different countries and can't wait to explore even more. Here are pictures of me hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, standing next to Big Ben, and a camel that I met in Israel.
Meet Ms. Heidi
Hi! My name is Heidi LeBlanc, Ms. Heidi and I am looking forward to a fantastic year with our Kindergarten class!!
I grew up in New Hampshire, but have lived in Tallahassee since attending FSU. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two girls ages 8 and 12. We also have a chocolate lab named Brady and a gray cat named Sadie. I graduated from FSU with a degree in Child Development and received my teacher certification from Gulf Coast College. I also have my certification in Handwriting without Tears. I have always worked with children during my professional career and some of my positions have included: pre-k teacher, afterschool teacher, summer camp teacher, and Director of an Early Headstart program. I have also traveled throughout the 7 county Big Bend area to conduct developmental screenings of children, provide technical assistance and trainings to teachers, and to conduct state assessments on child care programs. The last 3 years I have worked in the Pre-K unit at Conley Elementary school. I am so excited to now be a part of the innovative SASC school family and to co-teach with Ms. Claire! |
