**HOMEWORK**
Way to go Kindergarten! We got almost all of the homework back last week! Please make sure that your student writes their name on the front of the homework so that we may give them credit. We had 2 papers this week and we don't know who they belong to. CHANGE Since last week we realized that it would be beneficial to have a Homework Folder to hold the Homework in throughout the week. These went home yesterday with the Green Folders. They are Red and can be returned on Friday with the completed homework. The new routine for the Red Homework Folder is that it will go home on MONDAY and it is to be completed and returned on FRIDAY. Thank you for your patience as we figure out the best way to send and receive homework.
Literacy - We are finishing up the alphabet this week and will start to focus on tapping (sounding out using our fingers) CVC words and learning our first few sight words. More to come on the sight words next week! In writing we are beginning to create individual writing goals that may include, sounding out the beginning sound of letters, using a finger space between the words, or writing in lowercase letters.
Math - We are finishing up Unit 2 this week and will have our Unit 2 test of Thursday. The homework is to take a practice test. Please use this opportunity to help your child practice the fine art of taking a test. Staying at a level 0 voice, keeping their eyes on their paper, and raising their hand if they need help.
Theme - This week we are focusing on the sense of Taste!
If you have not already turned in or emailed us the permission to film please do so now. The link is below. Thank you!
