Dear SASC Families,
At tomorrow’s Hard Hat Party event, there will be a videographer on-site to record some footage of our students. If you are attending the event and would like to OPT OUT of the filming, please email [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
Kindly,
SASC Administration
Reminder
SASC may NOT park at the Fire Department across the street.
Litearcy: We have finished out booklets with all of the letter, keyword, and sounds! These will be sent home before Winter Break. We are now moving into Trick Words. We have gone over the trick words 'I' and 'a.' Later this week we will be going over the trick word 'the.' With each word we learn a song and dance to help solidify the word within the students. Ask you student what the song is for 'the.'
Math - We finished up Unit 3 last week. This week we are working on Unit 4, hoping to have the test next Tuesday. Unit 4 is about comparing numbers. Determining if numbers are greater or less that 5 or 10. Also coming up with numbers that are 1 or 2 more or 1 or 2 less than another number.
Social Studies - Now and Then - We are looking at how the first Thanksgiving was different that how we celebrate it today. We have also looked into the people that participated in the first Thanksgiving.
**We are looking for grandparents to come into the class, on WEDNESDAY December 2nd from about 2:10-2:40 and talk about how things were different when they were in elementary school. This could include the technology, cars, desks, games, books, etc. If someone in your family is interested please email us so we can discuss details. Thank you!
Wishing you well,
Claire Depart
